Ok, I'm gonna say it. I was disappointed by this movie. Not enough action and story was pretty bull. The begging was interesting but it became a little too... boring. the pointless scenes about his family and the synopsis was act 1 and 2. act 3 was stupid. Why did the wife go alone again after the incident? why didn't Max stay with his wife? Why aren't they even showing any signs of anxiety after the wife was being harassed by a gang? @ajfanchristine Well, I still approve it, not nearly as KILLER and no filler as Road Warrior, but it seemed alright as far as the low budget it was shot with, I felt it somewhat more confusing seeing it many years earlier then when I got older and watched it again. It just fills in the FAMILY story of Max, before he becomes the Lone Wolf persona

The intro is great, but them the movie just ponders about, telling really nothing of interest the rest of the way. He should have been killing each member of the bike gang one by one and in satisfying ways through the movie. And the Toecutter should have been the one killed here, not Johnny.

@GJNCA They weren't much much smaller. Schmelling 6'1 louis 6'2? Schmelling had a natural punch. It was his muscles, it was his ability to put himself into every big punch. Naturally, this is a weakness as well as a strength. Personally, I would see Holyfield wrecking Schmelling, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he hit harder.

He had the height, and if he had been trained in the 90's with the kind of regimens that guys like Holyfield had available, he would have been even more powerful, fast and devastating. Comparing a guy who lived in the 30's to someone in the 90's, without making any kind of concession for difference in training styles is inaccurate. Just imagine a man of Louis's skill in the 90s

By your reckoning Valuev would have been a favourite against Ali, but size counts for nothing when you factor in the gulf in class. In the 30s guys had more fights, there were more boxers about, they had more experience, more chance to adapt to different styles, to develop real ability.
