I have an STi. For what I paid for it, I got a lot. Now, when I see an RS4 at the lights, the first thing I say to him is "Nice car! It sounds SO good! Who's your mechanic?" I have driven both, and the Subaru is more raw, while I found the Audi FAST, really luxury but heavy and wooden feeling. I would take both if I had the $. each for different moods. no need to shieze on either.

@vrit1202 I agree with you. The good days are realy gone. I just wanne remember the RS2, 2.2 Liter engine - 5 Cylinder. That still where good cars. Of course, V8 sounds great first of all, but when you noticed, that the heavy engine "slow" the car, then I'm asking myself: "How can still call there cars RS ?" The Subaru is faster, but you also have to see, that the Turbo engine want high RPM, if you wanne go fast. Thats the advantage of a huge V8 - power even from low RPM.

I like the RS4 and M3 but let's be honest, they're not like before. Yes, they're still fast but just not as focused as their predecessors. In terms of sportiness, the Impreza wrx sti is well ahead of those Germans. The 2 liter-engined Impreza goes faster around Nurburgring than the German V8s. Enough said.

@LightningEVAustralia No, that ain't dutch ... thats german :). Well he don't say, that the Subaru is underpowered, but you need to like such plastic cars, if you wanne drive this one. The Audi has more understatement ... not such a plastic dashboard and so one. The Audi is better for dentist example and of course people that have lots of money. The Subaru is for people that want the pure driving feeling ... it makes more fun. Hope I could help you (sry for my english).

I don't speak dutch but I think he said, Understeer, cheap plastic, underpowered. But having said that did you see how fast he was going through those corners in the Sti. The vid speaks for Itself I think.

well the mainly idea of the audi is, that it'S a sports car wich doesn'T realy loke like one. but the subaru cost alot less money. but when you drive a subaru you don't care about what the people think about that car (because of the big spoiler, golden rimes and so one). you just have to like those gold rimes ugly stearing wheel and that huge spoiler. so the reason is:if you are dentist or so one you should drive the audi, but if you are a rally freak you should take the subaru. enough for you ?
